Hire of Road Suction Sweepers
Consisting of MacDonald Johnston VT 651, VT 605, 605, Compact 40, CN201, CN200, CN400,
and CX400 series road sweepers with either dual or single controls, our fleet is suitable for
municipal, arterial and construction sweeping operations.
With a proven field record as a preferred sweeper, these vehicles are utilised by the majority of
councils through Australia. Our fleet is are currently contracted to cleanse arterial roads for main
road governing organisations and a number of local councils and private firms.
Our fleet of vehicles is fully maintained by our Fleet Maintenance Manager and our team of dedicated mechanics who provide a 24 hour around the clock back-up service in the event of vehicle breakdow
Pit Cleansing
Metro Urban Management regularly provides a pit cleansing service which safely and efficiently removed debris and litter from pits. This service generates an enhanced environment which
improves the amenity for all users of the municipality and results in the reduction of flooding
and associated risks.
Select vehicles have been especially fitted to facilitate the cleaning of drainage pits. A hydraulically operated overhead boom and a pit lid lifter ensure a safe and more efficient operation for our
operators, reducing the risk of workplace related injury.
Weed Control
A weed control solution can be easily devised to best meet the infrastructure and budgetary requirements of our clients. Metro Urban Management offers flexible operational weed control application service alternatives ranging from especially adapted weed control optioned street
sweepers to full ATV and boom spray programmed servicing.
Litter Bin cleansing
This service is increasingly becoming of interest to our clients. Litter bin surrounds, 120 litre and
240 litre litter bin cleansing and deodorising ensures a holistic approach to infrastructure cleansing. Often offensive odours and germs emit from these essential assets, taking away from the overall streetscape amenity.

24 hour service
Metro Urban Management provides an emergency service for clients which operates 24 hours
a day, 365 days of the year. Our after-hours service can organise the dispatch of vehicles and
staff to assist with the clean-up operations for emergencies. Ou response times are benchmarked
with industry best practice. Individual emergency response services can be provided for clients
to suit their specialised requirements.
GPS technology
The incorporation of GPS technology into Metro Urban Managements operating systems has
proven invaluable to our operations. This technology has had numerous benefits including
operational and maintenance tracking, integration with Council systems, automated
downloading and improved reporting mechanisms.
REVERSE SMART
Reversing incidents are primarily the major cause of accidents, injury and death within
the
sweeping industry. Reverse Smart technology has been rolled out throughout
Metro Urban Management’s extensive large road suction fleet. This device is a very simple,
but technologically advanced system, which actively protects the public, workers, vehicles
and other assets at the rear of the vehicle and does all of this without interfering with the
vehicles intended daily operation.
How Does It Work?
The Reverse Smart system is only powered on once a vehicle is placed in reverse gear.
When the systems radar sensors detect an object or person that is within the danger zone
behind the vehicle,
the unit will immediately and automatically activate the vehicles brakes –
without any driver input required.
